Dallas VA Long Term Spinal Cord Recovery
Project Details
This VA Medical Center will be attached to the current main Hospital on the VA campus. Depending on the final design configuration, the proposed LTSCI facility will be equipped with approximately 30 to 60 beds and be operationally integrated with the existing 30-bed acute spinal cord injury (SCI) center in Building 74. The center will provide specialized long-term residential care for Veterans with spinal cord injuries, a service that is not currently available in the region. The proposed CEMH facility would enable VA to consolidate existing mental health care programs, including outpatient services.
