Generation Atlanta
Project Details
Generation Atlanta is a 336-unit apartment community with 34 affordable units in partnership with the City of Atlanta. It is 12 floors high and set over a 5-level cast-in-place parking garage. The high-rise is located in the heart of Atlanta within walking distance of Centennial Olympic Park, the Human Rights Museum, and the Georgia Aquarium. This project featured deep foundational construction with auger cast piles and a 380-space open parking deck. Its 20,000 square feet of posh amenity space includes duckpin bowling, shuffleboard, a pool deck, a fitness center, a yoga studio, a rooftop lounge, and indoor and outdoor theaters. Generation was the first development in the city to feature the Prescient light-gauge steel structural system, which reduced construction costs by 20-25% compared to concrete framing. The job site location created challenges that were overcome with close coordination and planning with the project team.
