Titan Electric partnered with Holder Construction to fit out an additional one megawatt of power in an existing operational data center on the SMU campus. The project’s goal was to expand the facility’s electrical backbone to accommodate the additional megawatt. The project required adding new switch gear, automatic transfer switches, and associated pieces of equipment for the expansion. Titan took the lead role in the 3D coordination between all trades, taking every precaution to prevent disruption to the activities of the existing live data center while ensuring smooth installation of the new electrical.
